- 1 brown onion, peeled and quartered
- 2 Garlic gloves, peeled
- 1 to 2 teaspoons sambal oelek or chilli paste
- 2 teaspoons Cumin Powder
- 30 grams olive oil
- 400 grams kidney beans, washed and drained
- 100 grams sour cream
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Coriander, chopped
SERVING SUGGESTION
- A few coriander leaves
- Some sliced chilli
- A drizzle of olive oil
Recipe's preparation
1. Place onion and garlic in TM bowl. Chop 3 secs/speed 7. Scrape down sides of bowl and repeat chopping 3 secs/speed 7.
2. Add sambal or chilli paste, cumin and olive oil to TM bowl and saute 5 mins/varoma/speed 1, MC in.
3. Add kidney beans, sour cream and coriander to TM bowl and mix 10 - 15 secs/speed 5 or until desired consistency is achieved.

Tip
Cooking your own dried organic red kidney beans makes for a cheaper option.
Fresh chilli can be used if preferred to sambal oelek or chilli paste.

I enjoyed this recipe. We'd run out of salsa and needed something quick and easy. I didn't have sambal oelek and probably should have added a bit more seasoning.
