Ingredients

Rhubarb Chutney

  • 300 g brown onion
  • 1000 g rhubarb
  • 660 g brown sugar
  • 240 g sultanas
  • 625 g white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 1 tsp ground ginger

Recipe's preparation

    Rhubarb & Onion Chutney (TM7 Recipe)
  1. Add 330g brown onion
  2. Add 1000g Rhubarb
  3. Chop 5 Sec/ Speed 4
  4. Add 660g brown sugar
    Add 240g sultanas
    Add 625g white vinegar
    Add 1Tbsp Mustard seeds
    Add 1tsp mixed spice
    Add 1tsp ground ginger
  5. Stir 5 sec / Reverse / Speed 2
  6. Cook 60 min / 100°C / Reverse / Speed 1 with lid cap off
  7. Then cook a further 15 min / Varoma / Reverse / Speed 1
  8. Mixture should be glossy and thick, with sultanas plump and rhubarb broken down but still textured. If too runny, extend cooking 10 min / 100°C / Reverse / Speed 1 with lid cap off
  9. Pour hot chutney into sterilised jars, seal immediately
    Store in a cool, dark place; refrigerate after opening.
