For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Add berries, dates and 1/2 chia seeds.
Blend 1 min / increasing speed 6-8.
Add vanilla bean paste and remaining chia seeds.
Cook 10 mins / 100C / "Counter-clockwise operation" / speed 1, placing simmering basket on top of bowl lid instead of MC.
Sterilise your jar by placing it inside the simmering basket while cooking.
Pour jam into sterile jar. The whole chia seeds will set the jam once cooled.
