If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

This was really yummy! And yes, easy....

I usually use kidney beans but tried the lentils this time and it was a stroke of genius for my veg phobic kids..... they had no idea they were in there. I'll definitely use the recipe again.

The recipe made plenty allowing me to freeze a portion too.

A winner all round, thank you for sharing.

  • I make it without the lentils

I make it without the lentils as I am trying to avoid carbs, it still works well and is now a firm favourite dish in our house.

  • We made this tonight for

    Submitted by shell15june on 20. July 2016 - 19:17.

We made this tonight for dinner and I really have to say we didn't enjoy it. Husband and I both agreed that it was really watery and tasteless.

I'm sorry to say we won't be making this one again. But it's always nice to try!

  • Easy!  I swapped lentils for

    Submitted by Feesthermi on 12. June 2016 - 18:08.

    Easy!

I swapped lentils for kidney beans (but probably should have put the beans in later with only 5 or so minutes to go). Kids loved it with rice, and some chunky tomato salsa on top. Thanks!
