Traditional Irish Soda Bread
- 250 g plain flour
- 10 g salt
- 15 g bicarbonate of soda
- 250 g wholemeal flour
- 150 g rolled oats
- 1 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoons treacle
- 500 g buttermilk

- Preheat oven to 220 degree
- Grease and line 2 x loaf tins
- Add all dry ingredients and mix
- Add wet ingredients and
"Dough mode" 5 minutes
- Divide mixture evenly between 2 loaf tins
- Cook for 45 minutes
- Turn out and cover with damp cloth till cool
Seave with salted butter
Store in air tight container

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
