Cheese & Rosemary Scones

Ingredients

8 piece(s)

  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 170 g Cheddar cheese, Vintage or Tasty is best
  • 150 g plain flour
  • 100 g wholemeal flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 175 g Milk
  • 1 tbsp Malt Extract, (optional)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Turn oven on to 220 degrees (200 if fan forced).

    Put cheese and rosemary in bowl.

    Grate/chop on for 10 sec/ sp 5.

    Reserve approx 1/4 to sprinkle on top.

    Add all remaining ingredients.

    Combine for 20 sec/ sp 5.

    Lightly kneed for 20 sec/ Dough mode.

    Place mixture on thermomat or floured surface.

    Cut into eight portions using scone cutter or just cutting into squares.

    Sprinkle remining cheese/rosemary on top.

    Bake in oven for 15-17 minutes.

    Serve with butter.  Delicious warm or cold.

    So easy and unbelievable flavour; I didn't use malt extract and cooked them for 15 minutes.
