      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

  • A year in nearly this is still made in our house...

    Submitted by sweetstuffmumma on 5. April 2017 - 16:56.

A year in nearly this is still made in our house very regularly. Always such a winner and so delicious!

I add a carrot and I also add the oil to sauté the onion and bacon, instead of adding it after that's been done. I find I can taste the oil if I don't use it to sauté ( just never been a fan of any oil taste, people think I'm crazy cause they can't taste it lol)

thanks again for for this great recipe

  • Delicious It took longer

    Submitted by RhiRhi82 on 25. June 2016 - 13:01.

Delicious tmrc_emoticons.) It took longer than 30 minutes to cook and I thought I must have mucked it up when I took it out of the oven as it was very 'wet' but once it cooled a bit it set beautifully. Both my kids loved it, including the child who hates zucchini so it's a win for us tmrc_emoticons.)

This is delicious! my family love zucchini slice but with a a injured wrist, grating all the zucchini was too much, so I stopped making it as much. Finding this recipe and making just now, is a godsend!! all the kids ( and my friend and her daughter) loved it!!  I added a carrot also ( so 400g all up)... Definitely adding this to my favourites!!!!

  • Yum. I would usually pan fry

    Submitted by Bridgette77 on 16. September 2015 - 17:23.

Yum. I would usually pan fry off onion bacon and garlic first to caramelise it as I don't like the way Thermie does that, but I followed recipe exactly and found it was delicious. I might try adding some parmesan next time for a bit of a sharper bite.

  • Nice and tasty recipe. Quick

    Submitted by d_nire on 13. August 2015 - 15:34.

Nice and tasty recipe. Quick and easy to prepare. Mine took a little bit longer than 30 mins to cook but my dish may be slightly smaller resulting in a thicker slice. I will reduce the amount of onion next time as the flavour was quite strong in my slice but that is my person taste. I also used some feta in place of the cheddar (50/50 cheddar, feta mix) just because I had it in the fridge to use up
