Clone of Clone of Cheese and Bacon Scrolls

Ingredients

Scrolls

  • 100g whole meal flour
  • 400g bakers flour
  • 1 sachet dried yeast
  • 20g olive oil
  • 300g warm water
  • 200g bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 200g Cheddar cheese, grated in the TM
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Recipe's preparation

    Bread Dough
  1. Preheat oven to 190.

    Add the flours, yeast, oil, salt and water and mix on speed 5 for 10 secs.

    Knead dough on Dough mode for 2 mins.  Leave to rise in bowl or in thermomat.

  2. Roll out the dough to a rectangle - approx 50cm x 30 cm.

    Sprinkle the bacon and cheese all over the dough and roll up starting with the long side.

    Cut into 2 cm scrolls and place on baking tray.

    Leave to rise again for about 30 mins.

  3. Pop into the oven and cook for about 15-20 mins until golden brown !!!

    Thanks. Was 1tbs salt a mistake.? I used 1tsp and it was fine. I also made the dough about 10pm and left it covered and sitting in a cold oven overnight and then continued early in the morning to have scrolls for breakfast. Delicious!
