  • 1 onion, Peeled and Quarted
  • 250 g Tasty cheese, large cubed
  • 40 g Butter, Large Cubed
  • 280 g self-raising flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 400 g Milk
  • 2 eggs

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add 250 grams grated cheese 8 sec/speed 9
    Put cheese aside into thermo saver or bowl
    Place peeled and quarter cut onion into mixing bowl 3 sec/speed 5
    Place 40 grams Butter in bowl and melt for 1 min/50°C/speed 4
    Add 280 grams Self Rasing Flour or flour of choice
    Add pinch salt
    Add 2 eggs
    Add dash onion powder
    Add dash garlic powder
    Add 400 grams Milk
    Mix 1 min/speed 5
    add reserved cheese and onion to the bowl mix 20 sec/speed 4
    cook each pancake in the fry pan for a few minutes each side
    serve warm

Tip

You could make these gluten free by changing the flour and Lactose free by changing your milk and cheese to lactose free versions.
