HERB & GARLIC BREAD

  • 150 grams cheese (cut in cubes)
  • Fresh garlic (use as much as you'd like)
  • fresh herbs of choice
  • 270 grams room temp water
  • 1 tsp sugar (heaped)
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried instant yeast
  • 450 grams white bakers flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 15 grams oil

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. To your Thermomix bowl - add cheese, garlic & herbs. Chop 5seconds/speed 7. Set aside.
  2. To your Thermomix bowl - add water, sugar, yeast, flour, salt & oil. Knead 6 minutes/dough function.
  3. Transfer dough to an oiled baking tray & cover. Let this rest for 15 minutes in a warm place.
  4. Gentle stir settingStretch out dough to cover baking tray. Cover, then allow the dough to rise in a warm place.
  5. Once risen, top with a generous drizzle of olive oil, salt & pepper if desired, & the cheese/herb mixture.
  6. Preheat oven to 180• fan forced, then bake until golden brown - approx 20/30 minutes.

    Fleur23: Mine is roughly 40cm x 30cm but you can definitely use other sizes tmrc_emoticons.) It will freeze well yes - you can freeze once fully cooked... or par bake until blonde, freeze, then finish off on the day tmrc_emoticons.)
