      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees c. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper and set aside

  2. 2. Place oil, golden syrup and 80 grams water into mixing bowl and heat 2min/60 degrees c/speed2

  3. 3. scrape down sides with spatula

  4. 4. Add bicarbonate soda and mix 5secs/speed 3

  5. 5. Add rolled oats, flour, brown sugar and desicared coconut mix 12secs/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 3

  6. 6. Scrape down sides of bowl and repeat 10 secs/Counter-clockwise operation/speed 3

  7. 7. Place approx 20 small spoonfuls of mixture onto prepared baking trays and flatten to approx 5cm in diameter, allowing spaces for biscuits to spread during baking. These are easier to flatten with damp hands.

  8. 8. Cook 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool on trays for 5 mins. Transfer onto wire rack and allow to cool completely or serve warm. Store in air tight container.

    Yum!

We made these for the first time today. They turned out perfectly! I actually used coconut oil instead of vegetable oil, and half golden syrup/half rice malt syrup (because I ran out!).
