TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Peel and quarter the apple. Put in the TM bowl and chop for 4 seconds on speed 4.
Add the water, sugar and the 2 tsp cinnamon. Cook on temperature 80, speed 2 for 5 mins.
Spread the apple mixture in the pie dish.
Place all topping ingredients (butter, brown sugar, plain flour, lemon rind and cinammon/nutmeg) and mix on speed 5 for 8 seconds until it resembles bread crumbs.
Add crumble mix on top of spread apple mixture and bake in a moderate oven for 45-60 mins. Crumble should be golden brown.
Serve apple crumble pudding warm out of the oven with custard. Also great cold.

Lovely recipe - I would probably lower the sugar next time, and I also chopped the apple on speed 4 for 5 seconds. Left it chunkier.

This was lovely. I used the YIAH apple pie spice in the apple and the crumble. Made it very quick and simple. I had a lot of apples left over off my trees, so it made enough for 20. Lovely crumble. Am putting this in my favourites.
