      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
    Line your pie tin with pastry and blind bake for 10 minutes.
    While blind baking, make your filling.
    Add apples and lemon juice to jug.
    Combine 10seconds/Counter-clockwise operation/spd2.
    Add cornflour, sugar, cinnamon and hot water to jug.
    Cook pie filling for 8mins/100/Counter-clockwise operation/spd1.
    Pour hot pie filling into blind baked pie case.
    Lay pastry lid on top and brush with an egg or milk.
    Bake in oven until top is golden, about 20 minutes.
