Bavarian apple cheesecake

Ingredients

Base

  • 90 grams sugar
  • 120 grams Butter, softened
  • dash vanilla
  • 150 grams plain flour

Filling

  • 40 grams sugar
  • 250g package cream cheese cubed
  • 1 egg
  • dash vanilla

Apple topping

  • 2-3 apples, tart, e.g Granny Smiths, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • 90 grams sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • small squeeze of lemon juice

Recipe's preparation

    Base
  1. 1. Add sugar to the bowl and blitz sp9 / 10secs.

    2. Add butter, sp4 / 30 secs. Scrape

    3. Add flour and vanilla, blitz sp 4.5 / 20 secs. Scrape.

    4. Grease 20cm springform tin and line the base with baking paper.

    5. Press the (soft) mixture into the botom and 5cm up the sides.
  2. Filling
  3. 1. Blitz sugar sp9 / 10 secs.

    2. Add remaining ingredients.

    3. Combine sp 4 / 20 secs. Scrape and repeat.

    4. Spread filling evenly over the prepared (uncooked) base.

    5. Preheat oven to 180C.
  4. Apple topping
  5. 1. Place sliced apple and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl and mix together.

    2. Spread evenly over topping.

    3. Place springform tin on a tray and place in the oven to bake for 30-40 minutes, or until set, in the middle.

    4. Cool in the tin and dust lightly with icing sugar.
