AWESOME!!!! I sprinkled a little brown sugar over the apples prior to cooking.

I used 50g oats and 50g almonds in the crumble (because I really love oats)

and I also added a tablespoon of coconut.

All of us absolutely loved it!!!

Oh yeah and the recipe doesn't say to add water to the bowl? I assumed it needed that to steam properly, so added some to the bowl. tmrc_emoticons.)

  • I cooked the apples in the TM

    Submitted by So.jam on 28. July 2014 - 19:30.

I cooked the apples in the TM  Bowl as the steaming thing was taking a long time, next time I might do that bit on the stove top. Completely blown away by how quick the topping was. Am only a week into this thermomix thing, and that might be the most surprised I have been so far. Almonds and all to a gorgeous crumble topping in mere seconds. In the oven now, thanks! Addit- amazing topping, love the almondness!!

  • Grrr, I don't know what I do

    Submitted by SophieH on 3. September 2013 - 15:59.

Grrr, I don't know what I do wrong with these recipes but it always seems to miss a step.  To steam the apples.  Place in the veroma and sprinkle with cinnamon.  Place 900g of water in thermomix bowl and steam at Veroma for 17 mins speed 2.

Alternatively you can use an 800g tin of apple pie fruit and just place in baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon.
