Caramilk Cookies

  • 125 grams Butter
  • 70 grams white sugar
  • 70 grams brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 260 grams self-raising flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 150 grams Cadbury Caramilk Chocolate Block, (Roughly Chopped)
  • Cadbury Milk / Dark Chocolate, For decorating if needed

Recipe's preparation

    Caramilk Chunk Cookies
  1. Preheat Fan Forced Oven to 160°C and line 2 x Baking Trays with Baking Paper.
  2. Cream the Cold Butter for 20 Seconds on Speed 5.
  3. Add Sugars and Vanilla, cream together for 30 Seconds on Speed 4. Scrape down sides with spatula to ensure no sugar granules. Repeat for another 30 Seconds on Speed 4 (while this is mixing, be ready to follow the next step).
  4. While the above is mixing for the second time, add the egg through the hole in the lid.
  5. Add Flour and Salt, combine on Dough Function Dough mode for 45 Seconds. Scrape down sides and repeat if needed.
  6. Add the Caramilk chunks, mix for 30 Seconds on ReverseCounter-clockwise operation at Speed 2. Repeat if needed.
  7. Roll the dough into heaped tablespoon sized balls and slightly flatten on the baking tray. Leave room for spreading.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 - 12 miutes or until slightly golden. They will be crisp on the outside but slightly soft and gooey on the inside.

Tip

Dough can be rolled into a log shape and refrigerated or frozen for 30mins before cutting into thick slices and baked.
