Casey's Super Easy Scones

Scone Ingredients

  • 30 grams Butter, cubed
  • 2 --- Cups Self Raising Flour
  • 3 teaspoons caster sugar
  • 1 Handful of Sultanas, Optional, to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup of milk

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 170c.

    Add egg to cup of milk and beat lightly with a fork. 

    Put flour and butter into tm bowl and mix for 30 sec speed 4.

    Add sugar and sultanas (if using) then turn onto speed 3 mc off. 

    Slowly add the milk/egg mixture through the hole in the lid, reserving a small amount of the liquid for glazing. After approx 30 secs a soft dough should have formed. 

    Tip dough onto a floured bench and form a ball with your hands. 

    Roll out to approx 2cm thick and use a round cutter to cut scones. I got 11 and a half from mine. 

    Brush top of scones with remaining egg mixture. 

    Bake for 15-20 mins or until golden brown and cooked through.
