  • 250 g Butter, cubed
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 4 eggs
  • 50 g plain flour
  • 40 g cocoa
  • 400 g white sugar

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees.

    2. Line a 20cm x 30cm tin with baking paper.

    3. Add peanuts to mixing bowl & chop 2 seconds/speed 5. Set aside.

    4. Add butter to mixing bowl & melt 2 mins/50 degrees/speed 2. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl. 

    5. Add vanilla & eggs to the mixing bowl & mix 20 seconds/ speed 4. 

    6. Add remaining ingredients, including peanuts & mix 30-40 seconds/    speed 3 or until combined (you may need to give the mixture a final stir through using the spatula).

    7. Spoon mixture into prepared tin.

    8. Bake 40-45 minutes or until firm.

    9. Allow to cool in the tin.
