Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 130 grams Butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 180 grams raw sugar
  • 120 grams plain flour, (or GF plain flour for GF option)
  • 30 grams Cacao or cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 100 grams walnuts or brazil nuts, roughly chopped (optional)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pre heat oven to 180C

  2. Add butter to TM bowl. Melt for 2 minutes, 80C, speed 2.

  3. Leave lid on and add eggs while blade is spinning on speed 3. Slowly add sugar and mix for 1 minute, speed 3.

  4. Add the remaining ingredients (including nuts if adding). Mix 10 seconds, counter-clockwise operation, speed 3 (use reverse only if adding nuts).

  5. Spoon into a greased/lined brownie tin and cook for 30 minutes.

  6. Turn out on to cake rack to cool and dust with icing sugar before serving.

Tip

Can be served with cream, icecream and fresh strawberries. It's also delicious on its own.

Substitute GF Plain flour for a gluten free option.

    These were a fail for me Sad.... very dry and cake like, despite baking for only 20 minutes on 150'C.

    I did reduce the sugar though so perhaps that was why.....that said, I'm a fudgy brownie lover so I like mine moist and dense.

    They were super easy though!

    Yummy recipe!! All loved it will definitely make it again. We uses drinking chocolate instead of cocoa and is still beautiful!! We didn't add nuts for school lunches. Cooking 7LoveSmile

    Delicious! Easy to follow recipe. I added 150g of dark chocolate melts when melting the butter to make it more of a dessert style brownie and used chopped almonds. Looking forward to making brownies again soon. Thanks for the recipe.

    This is a very quick and simple brownie recipe. I added choc buttons to the mixture in place of the walnuts for a little extra decadence, and it's received two thumbs up from all the family!
