Chocolate Peanut Slice

Ingredients

30 slice(s)

Base

  • 200 g Butter, Cubed
  • 60 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or paste
  • 1 egg
  • 120 g plain flour
  • 10 g SR flour
  • 30 g cocoa
  • 60 g Milk

Top

  • 395 g condensed milk, whole tin or TM made
  • 70 g Peanut Butter
  • 150 g Choc chips and/or nuts, use a combination or just one
  • 150 g chocolate, broken up
  • 60 g Butter, cubed

Recipe's preparation

    Base
  1. - Pre-heat oven to 180 and line lamington/slice pan, allowing sides to overhang. 

  2. - Add butter, sugar and vanilla into the bowl, mix on sp 5 for 30 sec.

  3. - Add egg then sp 4, 10 sec.

  4. - Add flours and cocoa, sp5, 10 sec. (Scraping mid-way if required)

  5. - Spread evenly over base of pan. Bake for 15-20 mins or until a skewer inserted is clean.
    * No need to wash bowl. 

  6. Top

    - Combine condensed milk, peanut butter, choc chips and/or nuts, sp 3, 10 sec Counter-clockwise operation

  8. - Pour mixture over chocolate slice base and bake 180 for 20-25 mins, or until set. Cool in pan.  * No need to wash bowl. 

  9. - Add chocolate to bowl, sp 8, 5 sec. Scrape down sides of bowl.

  10. - Add butter, cook 5min, 50o, sp 3.

  11. - Pour and spread melted chocolate mixture over cooled slice. Refrigerate until set. Slice and enjoy!

    The milk listed in the base is not in the method. I'm assuming it is not required?
