  • 240 g plain flour
  • 5 g baking powder, (1 tsp)
  • 5 g bicarbonate of soda, (1 tsp)
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 80 g white sugar
  • 60 g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 130 g unsalted butter
  • 100 g chocolate chips
  • 100 g Smarties, or M&Ms

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Pre heat oven to 180 degrees.
    2. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
    3. Melt butter 2mins/60deg/SP2. Scrape downside of mixing bowl.
    4. Add all ingredients to the mixing bowl except choc chips & smarties.
    5. Mix 30 seconds/Counter-clockwise operation/SP3. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl.
    6. Add chocolate chips & smarties & combine 15 seconsd/Counter-clockwise operation/SP3. Use spatula to combine further if required.
    7. Roll mixture into 32 balls and place on baking tray leaving room for spread.
    8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Melt the butter in your thermomix first if you like - 2minutes/60deg/SP2
