Double Chocolate Protein Balls

  • 200 grams medjool dates
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey, (40-60g)
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoons cocoa powder, or cacao powder
  • 105 grams raw almonds, 3/4 Cup
  • 60 grams cacao nibs, raw, or dark chocolate chips

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Double Chocolate Protein Balls
  1. 1. Place the dates, honey, vanilla extract and cocoa powder into the thermomix bowl and mix on Speed 6, 20 seconds (scraping down sides of the bowl halfway)
    2. Add the almonds and cacao nibs and press turbo Turbo 10 -15 times or until desired chunkiness is achieved
    3. Roll into a tablespoon sized ball and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
