- 440 g Self Raising Flour, extra for dusting
- 2 tablespoons castor sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 50 g cocoa
- 60 g Butter
- 250 g natural yoghurt, I use Mundella Greek Natural Yoghurt
- 70 g Milk
- 130 g choc chips, I use dark choc chips

TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Preheat Oven to 220 degrees celcius. Line a baking tray with baking paper or use Oven ThermoMat. Set aside.
Place flour, sugar, salt, cocoa and butter into the mixing bowl and mix 5 seconds / speed 8 or untl mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add yoghurt and milk and combine 20 seconds / speed 5.
Knead 20 seconds / While this is kneading add the choc chips.
Transfer dough onto a ThermoMat or a floured work surface. Press into a rectangle shape about 2cm thick. Cut down the centre long ways then short ways to make 10 scones. Lift each piece and press gently to make a circle shape. Place on tray. Repeat with remaining dough.
Place scones so that they are touching each other on the tray and bake 15 minute. They may need an extra 5 minutes.
Allow to cool.
Handle the dough as little as possible.
