  • 200 g sugar raw
  • 250 g Butter Cubed
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tsp almond essence
  • 50 g Almond flakes / slivered

Recipe's preparation

    Dutch Almond Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees

    2. Place sugar in TM bowl and pulverise for 20 sec / Sp 9.  Scrape down sides of the bowl.

    3. Add Butter, SR Flour, Almond Essence and 3/4 Egg to TM bowl and mix 20 sec / Sp 5. Scrape down sides of bowl with spatula.

    4. Mix further 10 sec / Sp 5.

    5. Place mixture into a 20cm round cake tin which is greased and lined. Smooth surface with remaining Egg and sprinkle Almonds on top.

    6. Bake in oven for 35 - 40 minutes until golden in colour and it springs back.

    Do Not overcook. 

    Allow to cool for 5 minutes before removing from tin.

    Quick, easy & so yummy!

    I was able to whip this cake up in 2 seconds flat, and was devoured by hubby and kids almost as quickly. Thankyou for this recipe!
