TART PASTRY

  • 150g unsalted butter, Cold
  • 220g plain flour
  • 55g icing sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1tbsp milk powder
  • 1/2tsp vanilla essence
  • pinch salt

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. Recipe's preparation

    Method 做法
  1. 1. Preheated oven 180c.
    2. Place butter, flour, icing sugar, egg, milk powder vanilla essence & salt into the bowl, mix 15 sec/speed 5
    3. Remove pastry from the bowl, make the dough into balls, and press into tart shells. Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
    4. Add sugar and water into the bowl 3 min/37°C/speed 1
    5. Add in evaporated milk, eggs, vanilla essence 30 sec/speed 3
    6. Pour the egg custard through a sieve into the tart shells.
    7. Bake in preheated oven until the custard sets. 30mins 180c.
    8. Rest in the tart shells for 5mins and transfer to the cooling rack. Remove tarts when it's completely cool.
