Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip
Only decorations that need to be set in need to be put in before baking, icing is optional and should be used once cool. As you cut away shapes, reball what is left to reroll- it will be slightly crumbly around the edges whilst rolling due to the lack of egg

I made these today because the kids wanted to bake but I had no eggs. Dough was crumbly but managable. I added the tiniest amount of water which helped bind the dough better. I found the thermo wasnt weighing the 5g spices so we ended up with what felt like alot of ginger. Maybe 2 teaspoons at a guess. I used my judgment when i thought we had added enough. They baked well.
