Elyse's Homemade Brownies

  • 200 grams Butter
  • 125 grams cocoa powder
  • 500 grams brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon imitation vanilla essence
  • 250 grams plain flour
  • 2 eggs

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease a 30 x 20 cm tin.
  2. Add butter and cocoa to TM bowl. 2 mins and 20 seconds, 40 degrees, speed Gentle stir setting
  3. Add sugar and vanilla essence. Mix 2 mins and 20 seconds, 37 degrees, speed 3
  4. Add flour. Mix 40 seconds on speed 4.
  5. Add eggs. Mix 7 mins on speed 3.
  6. Spread evenly in tin. Bake 20-25 minutes.
  7. When cool, either ice with chocolate icing OR dust with icing sugar.

Can add chopped walnuts at step 5, if desired.
