  • 1 can Tropical Fruit Salad 440gm, Drained Juice reserved
  • 140 grams SRFlour
  • 100 grams rolled oats
  • 150 grams sugar, raw or rapadura
  • 100 grams Butter, cubed
  • 25 grams golden syrup

Recipe's preparation

  1. Heat oven to 160 fan forced.  Line and grease a square cake tin approz 25cm.  Place butter and Golden Syrup in TM bowl and melt at 60 deg for 3 mins  speed 2.  Add in flour, oats, sugar, coconut, 2 tbspns reserved juice and egg.  Combine 4 secs, Sp 5 .  Spread half the mixture into the lined tin.  Spread all the fruit salad over mixture then spread remaining mixture over the top of fruit.  Bake  for 50 min to 1 hour.  Cool in tin for 10 mins before placeing on wire rack to cool completely.  Can be served warm with cream or ice cream as a dessert.

    YUM!!

    The family had some with custard for dessert, then the kids were able to take it to school for morning teas!

    It was a bit hard to spread the mixture on the top, but it was still devine.
