  • 125 grams Butter
  • 110 grams caster sugar
  • 190 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Podwer

  • 190 grams Icing Suger
  • 4 tablespoons Syrup

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Ginger Slice
  1. Crust - Cream Sugar and butter on speed 3.5, 1.5 minutes (scrape down sides)
    Add the remainder ingredients and mix 30 seconds speed 4 (scrape down sides at 15 seconds)
    Press dough into the prepared tin and smooth the top with a spoon (press down firmly)
    Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until lightly golden.

    Icing - Place all ingredients cook 5 minutes, speed 3 @ 110 degrees.

    Pour icing over the warm crust
    Place in fridge to set
    When the icing has set cut into slices and enjoy!!!

    eggplant: u can basically use whatever tin u wish. The smaller the tin the thicker the crust and thicker the topping. I used a round tart tin. Next time ill use a square oven proof dish - easier cutting them into squares.
