Gingerbread Bliss Balls -Variation of Cinnamon Doughnut Bliss Balls (paleo, raw, vegan, dairy-free, grain-free, gluten-free)

Ingredients

24 portion(s)

Doughnut:

  • 200 g Cashews, (Natural, unsalted)
  • 75 g almonds, (Or pecans, Brazil nuts or walnuts)
  • 85 g dates (dried pitted)
  • 40 g honey
  • 20 g Desiccated Coconut, (Shredded is fine, too)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence/Extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt, (Himalayan)

Cinnamon Sugar (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon Coconut sugar, (Or granulated sugar of choice)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

Recipe's preparation

    Cinnamon sugar (if making)
  1. Add ingredients to Closed lid
  2. Mill 10 seconds, speed 9
  3. Set aside
  4. Dough:
  5. No need to clean Closed lid
  6. Add all ingredients to Closed lid
  7. Slowly increase speed up to Speed 8. Scrape down after 20 seconds and repeat 2-3 times until mix is smooth and glossy
  8. Roll into teaspoon sized balls and pop into a large zip lock bag. If oil is coming out of nuts squeeze the excess out as you roll them.
  9. Add Ginger/cinnamon Sugar and shake bag to combine
  10. Enjoy!

Tip

This is a variation of the cinnamon bliss balls which according to my kids taste just like cinnamon donuts. Definetly try them if you haven't! We were inspired by our love of gingerbread to make this variation. Hope you enjoy.
