      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  2. 2. Add flour and butter to mixing bowl and mix 5 secs/speed 8

  3. 3. Add milk to mixing bowl and mix 20 sec/speed 5, then 20 sec/ .   

  4. 4. Turn out the dough onto a floured surface and press or roll out to 2-4 cm thick.

  5. 5. Cut out scones, place close together on a tray and brush over the tops with extra milk.

  6. 6. Bake in the oven for 12-15 mins until golden on top.
