Janine's Giant Cast Iron Choc Chip Cookie - Thermie and Friends
- 140 g Salted butter
- 215 g plain flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 100 g brown sugar
- 50 g white sugar
- 80 g Milk choc chips
- 80 g Dark Chocolate Melts

- Heat cast iron skillet on stove, add butter and stir on medium heat. Keep stirring until foamy and starts to turn a golden colour (approx 5-7mins). Remove from heat and pour into a bowl to cool slightly. (this step has also greased the skillet)
- Add all dry ingredients and mix speed 4, 5 seconds
- add all wet ingredients (including burnt butter) and mix speed 4, 5 seconds
- add choc chips and mix reverse speed 4, 5 seconds
- Put all dough into skillet and press flat.
Dot with remaining choc melts on top and bake in oven 180 degrees - 15mins or until golden. - Serve in pan topped with ice cream - enjoy!
