  • 40 gram pepitas
  • 40 gram sunflower seeds
  • 30 gram flaxseeds
  • 30 gram sesame seeds
  • 100 gram rolled oats
  • 10 medjool dates
  • 40 gram coconut oil
  • 30 gram tahini
  • 2 heaped tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup
  • 80 gram Puffed rice
  • Additional Coconut oil for lining tin

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. RECIPE'S PREPARATION



    line with baking paper and grease a slice tin with coconut oil ensuring to extend baking paper above the sides.







    Place pepitas & sunflower seeds into bowl. Chop speed 5, 5 seconds.







    Remove from the bowl and set aside.







    Melt the coconut oil, maple syrup at 50 degrees, 4 minutes, speed 1.







    Add dates to bowl, chop speed 6 for 10 seconds. Scrap bowl and add tahini speed 5 for 10 seconds. Add all other ingredients including the pepita & sunflower seed mix and combine on reverse at speed 3, 30-40 seconds, scrape sides down part way through if needed.







    Firmly press the mixture into the tin







    Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes - check bars at 15 minute mark as they can over-cook very quickly







    Let cool in tin then remove and slice into bars (half the size of an average muesli bar

Tip

The tahini is great for calcium but can be an acquired taste if the tahini is too bitter it may be reduced and replaced with additional coconut oil or a nut butter or choice
