Mum’s Boiled Passionfruit Fruit Cake

  • 170 g passionfruit pulp, canned, Or 7 large passionfruit
  • 500 g mixed dried fruit
  • 70 g orange juice
  • 200 g sugar
  • 125 g Butter
  • 3 eggs, Slightly beaten
  • 110 g plain flour
  • 110 g self-raising flour

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 160-170 and grease and line the base of a 20cm tin

    2. Add passionfruit pulp, mixed fruit, orange juice, sugar and butter to bowl and mix speed 2 Counter-clockwise operation varoma for 5mins.

    3. Cool in bowl to room temperature.

    4. Add egg, plain and self raising flour and the mixed spice to the bowl and mix 10 seconds speed 3.

    5. Add to 20cm prepared tin and cook for 1 1/4 hours.

    6. Check it's cooked by inserting skewer into middle.

    7. turn out on wire rack to cool before storing or serving.
