If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

I've Just taken this out of the oven and OMG it smells soooooo good .... hubby is insisting it's too hot for me to cut yet!

It only used half half the amount of sugar, with a teaspoon of vanilla paste and a few drops of doterra lemon oil. I also cut the baking time by 5 mins because my oven is annoying 😬

When growing up my nana made a sultana cake. This recipe is so close to hers it’s fantastic. Don’t put lemon or almond essence in but 1 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste.

Love this cake.... my son likes the homebrand light fruit cake from supermarkets so i made this for him. Big hit....perfect for freezer for school and husbands lunch. I dont have the almond or lemon essence so i just add a few drops of doterra lemon oil.
