Chocolate Cake

  • 125 grams Butter
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Essence/Extract
  • 330 grams sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 320 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 70 grams cacao powder, Or cocoa powder
  • 220 grams water

Orio cream filling

  • 150 grams dark chocolate
  • 55 grams Butter
  • 250 grams cream cheese
  • 110 grams sugar
  • 600 ml of thickened cream
  • 1 package Orio cookies

Recipe's preparation

    Chocolate cakes
  1. Preheat oven to 160oC and prepare cake tin/tins.

    - Place all the ingrediance in the TM bowl and combine. Sp6 for 30sec.

    - Pour half the mixture into each cake tin ( or cook one at a time) and bake for 20-25 minutes,

    or until a skewer  comes out clean. Allow them to cool in the tin for 10minutes, then GENTLY

    turn out onto wire cooling rack. Set aside and allow to COMPLETELY cool.

  2. Filling:  place the entire pack of Orio's in the TM bowl and chop. sp5 for

    2sec. Set aside .( don't bother cleaning the bowl)

    - Add the thickened cream to the TM bowl and whip. sp6 for 15-20 sec.

    ( make sure your TM bowl is not warm) Set aside in a large bowl..

    ( don't bother washing the bowl)

    - Add cream cheese and sugar to the TM bowl and combine. sp5 for 15sec. 

    - Add the cream cheese mixture and the Orio cookies to the large bowl of

    cream. GENTLY combine the ingredients and place the bowl in the fridge.

    - In a clean bowl add the chocolate to the TM bowl and chop for 15-20sec sp10

    Add the butter for melting. 50 degrees sp3 for 4 min.. Allow the chocolate to

    cool in the bowl for 5 minutes before use.

     

     

  3. Cake construction:   Cut the cake so the bottom and centers are flat.

    Trim the edges of the top to slightly angles down.

    - Spoon the filling mixture on the base layer of the cake and arrange evenly.

    - Place the top of the cake on gently. Spoon the chocolate topping over the

    cake, little at a time, allowing it to clot on the edge of the cake.

    Thanks for this great idea!  I made this for my son's birthday recently, he loves Oreo biscuits.  Nice and easy and very effective
