Phyllis’s Peanut Brownies

  • 125 grams Butter, Chopped into cubes
  • 1 egg
  • 150 grams sugar, Milled to caster sugar
  • 200 grams plain flour
  • 1 level tsp baking powder
  • 2 level tbsp cocoa powder
  • 145 grams Peanuts, Unsalted, Roasted and shelled

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Pre heat oven to 180 degrees C.
    Mill the sugar in the bowl 10 secs, speed 8.
    add the butter and cream. Speed 5 for 5 secs. Scrape down and repeat till creamed.
    add the egg. Beat 5 secs at speed 5.
    into bowl place flour, Baking Powder, cocoa, salt
    blend together for 3 secs speed 5
    add Peanuts to the bowl. On reverse 3 secs speed 4
    Line a baking tray with baking paper
    roll into golf size balls leaving space between each ball.
    Press flat with your fingers or a fork
    bake in oven for 15 mins on fan bake
