If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Good scone mix - i've only ever made the lemonade/cream in the past, but didn't have the ingredients, so made these. Will make again for sure - easy and tasty. On advice from previous reviews, i only added 2tspn BP and did half half mix plain/SR flour.

This was  my first attempt at  scones in the thermi! I have been too scared to stuff them up!! haha

I used 2/3 SR flour and 1/3 Plain. After starting I realised that I only had Bi Carb and no baking powder, so I used just 1 teaspoon of BiCarb. (I really think 6tsp would be over kill!)

I also added a Tbsp of caster suger in with the flour at stage 1.

In the end they have turned out gorgeous! Very fluffy and light! Thanks!

Mine didn't rise enough and I made two batches, not as light and fluffy as I would expect, they still tasted nice.
