- 180 grams brown sugar
- 125 grams Butter, coarsely chopped
- 125 grams chocolate, milk or dark
- 25 grams golden syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 1 large egg (59g)
- 270 grams plain flour
- 20 grams cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarb of soda
- 190 grams M&M speckled eggs, (1 packet)

Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees and line an oven tray with baking paper
Mill brown sugar for 5 secs/speed 9. Add butter and chocolate and chop for 5 secs/speed 6.
Add golden syrup and melt for 2mins/60 degrees/ speed 2
Add flour, cocoa, bicarb, egg and vanilla and mix for 20 secs/speed 6.
Add speckled eggs and mix 20 secs/speed 2/. The eggs can be mixed through by hand if you prefer them all to be completely intact.
Roll dessertspoons of dough into balls and place on oven tray. Bake for 10-15 mins or until puffed up and slightly cracked. Biscuits will defalte slightly and firm up on cooling.
Accessories you need
Speckled eggs are an Easter only item, but these biscuits are equally as good made with 200 grams of M&Ms.
