Not a fan sorry tmrc_emoticons.( it's not turned out anything like I expected it to. Way to wet, can taste the baking powder, and the cacao is very strong. Maybe I stuffed it up ??

Sorry, but this was terrible. it didn't set but burnt on the top.  itwasnt a nice brownie texture or taste at all. So many other things I could have done with a kilo of sweet potato!

    Submitted by Bree17 on 7. February 2016 - 16:53.

Thank you, this is the best brownie recipe, so easy and delicious. I only used 2 tsp of baking powder and cut down the maple syrup to 100g but thats just personal taste and sometimes I throw in some dark choc chips. Perfect for the lunchbox, the kids absolutely love them!!

  • Nice healthier brownie

    Submitted by sjalocha on 12. December 2015 - 07:54.

Nice healthier brownie alternative! I used the comment recommendations & Used 2tsp of baking powder it appears to be enough, also cook longer as recommended by others.

  • LOVED this. Only used 2tsp

    Submitted by KrissyB on 11. November 2015 - 17:07.

LOVED this. Only used 2tsp baking powder - feel like a mistake was made with 2 TBSP. I split mixture into 2x shallow baking dishes and baked very slowly for about 1hr. Thank you!

    WOOOWW this is deliciousss!!!

But the Baking powder messure is wrong!! I only used 1TBSP and it was plenty!

Now the taste is SUUUUPER SWEET and I only used half of the maple Syrup, I don't understand how people think its not sweet... maybe in comparisson to a normal brownie? But this is SUPER SWEET for a normal treat and super healthy too!!! Will try and subistitute maple for dates next time!!

Is 2 tablespoon baking powder correct? It tastes very salty. Otherwise, texture is good. Also not very sweet.

I've got the ingredients ready and would also like to know if it really takes 2tbs rather than 2tsp of baking powder because it seems so much baking powder! Particularly with only 1tsp of bicarb...

  • No need to cook the sweet

Submitted by Fiona Kemp on 16. March 2015 - 14:27.

No need to cook the sweet potato first (I just use the regular orange ones). like the other reviews, I've found it takes much longer to cook and I find the recipe not sweet enough so I either add more maple syrup or dust lots of icing sugar on top.
