Toasted Granola

  • 1 level tbsp cold pressed, coconut oil
  • 2 level tbsp honey
  • 100 grams Shredded coconut
  • 100 grams rolled oats
  • 50 gram almonds
  • 40 grams pitted dates
  • 40 gram dried cranberries

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add coconut and honey to mixing bowl

    Melt 1 minute, 40 degrees, speed 2
    (Increase time if coconut oil is not complettely liquified)
  2. Pour melted mixture into bowl and set aside
  3. Add all remaining ingredients to bowl
    Chop 3 seconds speed 6

    Repeat this step until desired consistency is achieved
  4. Mix 30 seconds/ reverse speed 2

    Whilst mixing, add melted mixture through mixing bowl lid
  5. Ensure that all mixture is coated with thin layer of melted honey mixture.

    If you prefer a stickier/cluster style granola, repeat mixing step and add additional honey through mixing bowl lid until a thicker coating is achieved.
  6. Pour granola mix onto lined baking tray and spread evenly
  7. Bake in 150 degree oven for 15-20minutes, stirring mixture on the tray half way through baking so that granola mixture is an even golden brown colour. Add additional baking time if necessary
  8. Take out of oven and leave to completely cool
  9. Store in airtight jar or container
