Toblerone Christmas Pudding Crackles

  • 200 g Toblerone
  • 2 tsp Cocao
  • 2 tbsp Cream Pouring, (optional)
  • 90 g rice bubbles, (3 cups)
  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 24 pieces Jaffas

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Crackles
  1. Break up toblerone and put in TM and grate - 10sec, speed 9

     

    Add cocao & cream if using.

    Melt 1 min 30 sec, 50 degrees, speed 3

    Scrap sides and melt for another 1 min, 50 degrees, speed 3

     

    Add rice bubbles and mix 1 min, 37 degrees, Counter-clockwise operation, Gentle stir setting

     

    Spray non stick 24 mini muffin tray and fill each hole with mix just to the top and gently push down mix. Allow to set in fridge for approx half hour or until set. Remove from tray. You may need a knife or skewer if you don't want to scratch your tray to help gently remove them and place upside down on a tray.

     

    For the white chcoclate you can melt in thermi (follow instructions in front of your EDC for melting chocolate) and spoon on your crackles but I find my way super easy....Put white chocolate in sandwich size ziplock bag and put in microwave for 30 secs. remove and squaeeze chocolate around in bag to mix. put back for another 20 secs, mix and repeat one more time if required until chocolate it melted. Cut a small hole in corner of bag and squirt some on top of each crackle.

     

    Place 1 jaffa on top of each pudding and place in the fridge for half an hour or until set. Store in fridge until eaten.

    I found it didn't mix very well so I added another 2 tbsps of cream and it turned out perfect. Thank you for a yummy recipe. Will make again tmrc_emoticons.)

    I found I did not have enough chocolate mix for the rice bubbles, but it was more likely me than the recipe, it may not have been melted enough. The white chocolate in the sanwich bag tip is awesome.
