Vanilla Pecan Biscuits

  • 200 g Butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 200 g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 60 g pecans
  • 260 g plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarb soda

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 150 (fan-forced)

  2. Add butter, sugar and vanilla to TMX bowl and cream together speed 4 for 1 minute or until pale and creamy. Add egg with blades still running on speed 4 and mix for 30 seconds.

  3. Add coarsley chopped pecans mix on  speed 3 for 10 seconds. Add flour and bicarb and mix on speed 4  for 20 seconds or until combined.

  4. Roll level tablespoons of dough into balls, place on tray and flatten slightly. Bake for 15 minutes and cool biscuits on tray.

Pecans can be coarsley chopped in the TMX before proceeding with recipe.
