      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Preparation
  1. Add dates to the TM bowl. Blitz for 3-4 secs / speed 10. Do not scrape sides.
  2. Add apple to the TM bowl. Gate 4 secs / speed 4. Scrape down sides.
  3. Add oats, milk, water and linseeds (optional) and cook for 10 mins / 90°C / speed Gentle stir setting
  4. Serve with yoghurt and fresh seasonal fruit.

Tip

For a nut-free version, omit linseeds.

For a dairy-free version, use milk substitute of choice or simply replace with water.

Medjool dates can be replaced for dried apricots, or skipped if not avail. Add some maple syrup or honey before serving instead, as they do add natural sweetness to the dish.

You can also add a tablespoon of Peanut Butter at Step 3. It's delicious. If adding peanut butter, I skip the apple (as wouldn't be able to taste it)
