      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. Sift Flour and salt together into the Closed lid.

    Cut butter and place in Closed lid

  2. Speed 7 for 8 seconds. It will resemble fine breadcrumbs.

  3. Speed 5 for 1 minute slowly adding cold water untill it comes together.

  4. Place dough on a Thermomat and bring dough together into a ball. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes before you need to use it.

Tip

Recipe from the Edmonds Cookery Book 53rd Edition 2004. Pg 80.

Use as required for sweet or savoury pies and tarts and quiches. Cook at 180C.
