Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

Put flour, baking powder, salt and milk into thermie bowl. Speed 4 for 30 seconds. Set thermie going at Sp 3 and tip in small amounts of water till dough comes together and cleans the side of the bowl.
Rest for 30 mins.
Divide dough into 6 or 8 pieces.
Flatten and roll out each piece.
Shallow fry till golden brown on both sides

Tip
These quick breads are wonderful topped with taco meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream (like my photo).
We’ve also had them with curry and rice as a quick alternative to naan bread.
