      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. place 45g butter, 2 tsp sugar, 296g water, and 2.5 yeast into mixing bowl and 5 min/37c/speed Gentle stir setting
  2. add 550g flour and slowly increase speed to 8/10 seconds.
    then Dough mode4 min
  3. leave to proof in bowl or wrapped in thermo mat until double in size
  4. once risen, shape and transfer into prepared pan. place in oven with 2 cups of boiling water to proof for a futher 30 min. the loaf will continue to rise when in hot oven.
  5. remove from oven and heat oven to 190c conventional
  6. place in oven and cook for 10 min then switch oven to egular fan 170c for a futher 20-30 min. cover with foil if the top is browing to fast.
  7. remove from oven and allow to cool in pan for 5 min the transfer to wire rack
