Tart Shells
- 12 Sweet shortcrust tart shells, from supermarket
- Or make your own from the Basic Cookbook Recipe, Page 50
Caramel Filling
- 90 g Butter, chopped into pieces
- 70 g brown sugar
- 60 g golden syrup
- 200 g condensed milk
Topping
- 1 banana, Sliced
- 1 300g carton of thickened cream, Whipped
- grated chocolate for decoration

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Add all ingredients into Mixing Bowl and cook for 10-12 minutes/Varoma/Speed 3/MC off.
While caramel is cooking place a slice of banana into the empty tart shell.
Once cooked, immediately pour caramel into tart shells. Place in the fridge to cool and set.
Before serving top with whipped cream, another slice of banana and grated chocolate if desired.

Tip
Sprinkle sliced bananas with a little lemon juice to prevent them turning brown.

Yum! I made these for my daughters birthday...
Yum! I made these for my daughters birthday afternoon tea (I used pre made pastry shells) and they were a hit! So quick and easy and the caramel is so good you could eat it with a spoon. Will definitely make again.
