  • 150 g Caramilk Chocolate
  • 200 g pouring (whipping) cream
  • 400 g full cream milk
  • 120 g caster sugar

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Method:
  1. Place Caramilk Chocolate into the mixing bowl and grate 5 sec/speed 8.
  2. Scrape down sides of the mixing bowl with your spatula.
  3. To the Thermomix Bowl, add in milk, cream, sugar, and egg yolks.
  4. Cook for 8 min/90°C/speed 2.
  5. Then blend 5 sec/speed 4-7, increasing speed gradually from speed 4 to speed 7.
  6. Pour mixture, into 2 shallow containers.
  7. Allow mixture to cool completely before placing into freezer for a minimum time of 10 hours.
  8. When ready to serve, complete the following steps:
    Remove from freezer and cut into pieces.
    Place half the pieces into the Thermomix bowl and blend for 20 sec/speed 6
    Quickly mix for 10 seconds on speed 4 with the aid of spatula.
    Transfer ice cream into a bowl.
    Repeat the above step for the second container.
    Serve immediately!
  9. We topped ours with Nestle Dulce de Leche!!!

Tip

Please note i have reduced the sugar in this recipe - You can add up to 150g of caster sugar if you have a sweet tooth.
