Recipe's preparation

    Prepare batter
  1. Add milk and butter to mixing bowl.
  2. Mix for 2 minutes, 40°C, speed 3. Butter shold be melted and milk should be warm not hot.
  3. Add eggs, sugar, salt, flour, baking powder, vanilla.
  4. Mix for 20 seconds speed 4.
  5. Scrape down sides of bowl. Mix for 10 seconds, speed 4.
  6. Cook your waffles in your waffle maker according to its instructions.

Tip

This recipe will make 7-8 waffles in the Breville Smart Waffle Maker (these are very large, thick square waffles, so other macchines will likely be smaller).

Waffles are best eaten fresh, but can be cooked on the lightest setting, frozen and reheated by putting back on your waffle maker, or int he toaster.

Serve with your chooice of toppings. Suggested combinations:
- berries, chocolate sauce, walnuts and cream/ice cream
- banana, caramel sauce, peanuts and cream/ice cream
- bacon, maple syrup, cinnamon sugar and cream/ice cream
